Oh, you mean the nice lady sitting two seats from my great grandfather? Mme Curie? Next to Max Planck? Two seats left of Albert Einstein and six seats from Niels Bohr? In front of Schrödinger? That lady? Wow.

BTW, did I mention that my great grandfather was the physicist Martin Knudsen? To me this is like a family album picture. I didn´t even notice those other people before you brought it up.

Holy cow, what a great photo! Do you know when and where it was taken? What was the event that brought all those scientists to the same place at the same time?

The fifth Solvay conference (1927).

All the cool kids went. Including my great grandfather. Did I mention that my great grandfather hung out with Albert Einstein and Mme Curie?

You mean our great grandfather who beat Niels Bohr when they were both applying for a job? That great grandfather? The one who invented the Knudsen cell and the Knudsen absolute manometer?

reminds me not so good and not so old times, when I used to carry round millions in my wallet. Could buy a chicken (dead and frozen) for it, but still - most of us was millionaires in early 90'...

I am, indeed, named after that guy, who beat Niels Bohr, the leading physicist of his day, to a job.
