There goes the neighbourhood

So they slipped the demolition permit on these 17th century wooden buildings through on the Friday before Easter, before anyone could object, and then immediately set about tearing them down. The owner originally wanted to build a 49m hotel on the property, but the superbrains at city hall talked him down to a mere 27m. Meanwhile the top story in our local newspaper is a photo reportage about wedding pictures, and how they’ve changed since the fifties.
